A Museum in Paris

The final project of the Spring semester of my second year (Spring 2021) challenged us to design an art museum in Paris using the Hôtel Particulier typology. In its most basic form, this building type consists of an entry courtyard, an entrance hall, and a garden. Often immersed in urban fabric, the French Hotel requires the navigation of a complex, irregular site resolved with regular geometries. The program generally arranges public spaces on the ground floor (Rez de Chaussée) and art gallery space on the floor above (Premier Étage).
