In our first semester in the Furniture Concentration, we start by designing a table. I was inspired by gothic end tables, but because gothic furniture tends to have very detailed ornamentation I focused on stripping everything down to its basic forms and tectonics. Four legs are connected by two lap joints. All parts are mahogany wood and hand-sanded.  
It's been very rewarding to be able to work with my hands and realize a project all the way from the design phase to completion.
