The first project of the second semester of my second year (Spring 2021) gave us the task of designing a comfortable single family residence in Bath, England. Before beginning the project, we did extensive analysis to understand and replicate the city's architectural language. Residential blocks in Bath generally are composed of row houses, or several homes joined together by common sidewalls. Variations of this building type are commonly found in cities all over the world as it efficiently organizes a home vertically and maximizes space used in the blocks.
