Ionic Aedicule

After learning the important rules and proportions of the Orders in our first project study, we then had the opportunity to put them into practice. This project proposed the addition of an aedicule to a blank facade of our School of Architecture building. My aedicule design was framed by ionic pilasters and engaged columns raised on pedestals and supporting a rounded pediment. A statue stands within an arched niche on center above a small fountain and pool below.
